Kelley Berberich, RN MS FNP-c is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has been in the healthcare field since 1985, starting as a RN. In 2003 she began her journey towards becoming a nurse practitioner after realizing she had a calling to serve others in the role of a healthcare provider in primary care. She enrolled in Texas Womans University (TWU) seeking her masters degree in science as well as intensive training as a FNP. In 2005 she was inducted in to Sigma Theta Tau, an international honor society for nurses.
Kelley has been an advocate for health literacy for many years, with an understanding that everyone is unique in their level of understanding when it comes to concepts of how the body works, how it heals and how it is challenged. Her work with the un-insured, under-insured and immigrants helped her gain the skills of teaching patients about their health in a basic, easy to understand manner. She also used these skills as a professor at CSUS College of Nursing as a lecturer and clinical instructor. In private practice and in the classroom she uses research, sketches, analogies and humor to bring concepts to light, enhancing learning by many.
Kelley is currently practicing in a private practice (Family Medicine) site in Eldorado Hills, CA.
